Amy and Martin had a beautiful day for a fun wedding this past Saturday. We had a great time shooting with Kate Elliott for the day especially for our photo shoots in downtown Rochester.
We had a blast working with Kelly and Steven on their wedding day. Although it rained early in the day it cleared by mid-afternoon. We worked with Robert Bruce who coincidentally shot my wedding six years prior, always a blast to work with Bruce!
When Niki & Varun came to us in early August with a request for us to document their traditional Indian wedding day up in Bay Harbor, I could not have been more excited. We began our coverage with the Ganesh Puja on Tuesday morning in Troy, shot some film of the Mehndi on Tuesday evening, covered the cocktail party up in Bay Harbor Friday night, and the actual wedding day on Saturday. Although it was more like mid October weather wise with 50 degrees and rain on Saturday, we worked around it along side Photographer Scarlett Piedmonte from Traverse City. The reception dancing was amazing with two dance performances, the DJ, Naveen Sharma, kept the party going by mixing a continuous blend of various types of music. Below is a short trailer from the four days.
We had the pleasure of filming Tamara and Todd’s wedding day this past Saturday at the Great Oaks Country Club in Rochester, Michigan. It was a cool day in the 70s with some stratus overcast layers which is unusual for late August in Michigan however, it was perfect weather for Tamara and Todd’s outdoor wedding ceremony. Tamara & Todd were referred to us by two of our previous clients and friends, KellyAnn and Tim, whom we had the pleasure of filming on their wedding day a few years back. My crew for the day started off with Ryan and myself and we ended the day with Katie and Louis. We worked along side the professional photographer crew of Sheila and Branko from Laurie Tennent Studio, (www.laurietennentstudio.com). We knew that Tamara and Todd were leaving for their honeymoon on Thursday so we made sure we had this trailer out to them before their departure. Enjoy!
Kim and Freddie are both personal friends of mine and when they asked me to document their wedding day I could not have been happier. I enjoyed every minute of the 15 hour day I spent with their families and I wish them all the best in their marriage. My team for the day consisted of Ryan, Jeff, and Katie. Ryan shot the pre-ceremony starting at Freddie’s about 11am, and I started at the salon about 930am. Here is a snippet of their wedding day which took place at Orchard Lake St Mary’s with a reception at Laurel Manor in Livonia.
Jake and Ai had a beautiful wedding day this past Saturday despite the rain. Jake and Ai actually live in Japan, and this was their second wedding! Their first was over in Japan a few weeks prior. The day started off at Todd’s Room with the Ai and her bridesmaids getting their makeup done. Jake and his groomsmen did their pre-ceremony preparations at the Orchard Lake Country Club where the ceremony and reception were taking place. The 530pm ceremony was supposed to take place down near the water however, mother nature had different plans for that afternoon and thanks to the team put together by Carolyn Hefner of The China Closet (www.thechinacloset.com), the ballroom was transformed into the new location for the ceremony and it went off on time without a hitch. We had the pleasure of shooting with Ray Anthony again (www.rayanthonyphoto.com), and as usual, we were able to work in the background and capture images naturally without imposing our presence. This same day edit was created by Alex during the cocktail hour and dinner toasts while Louis and Ryan continued with the filming of the events. The same day edit was displayed during the last half of the reception in the lounge area. Hope you enjoy!
